 Section 2: Refining Your Search 

As you will have seen, if you followed the previous Activities, you can refine your search simply by adding quotation marks ("") to a phrase to ensure the search engine will provide you with only those web sites that contain the phrase you are looking for.

You can also use Boolean Logic to help narrow your search, by including simple connecting words such as AND, OR and NOT (or plus '+' and minus '-' signs) in the search bar.

Search Engines usually provide additional options for Advanced Searches. Look out for links to these facilities, if required, and follow any instructions.
