EqualSkills
Who is it for?
EqualSkills is aimed at complete beginners. It is an informal and easy to use introduction to using a computer, including how to switch on a PC and basic skills such as using the mouse and keyboard. A basic introduction to the Internet and email is also covered.
What will I Learn?
EqualSkills comprises of four modules, which are completed by working through a workbook and a final consolidation exercise. The four modules are:
- Computer Basics
- Introduction to the Desktop
- The World Wide Web
Is it a Qualification?
Yes, like ECDL, it is a recognised qualification managed by the British Computer Society and is becoming widely recognised by employers.
How Much Does it Cost?
Through North Lanarkshire Council's LogintoLearn Centres, completing the EqualSkills will cost £100. However, if you qualify for an Individual Learning Account, you can use your ILA to pay for the course. Click here for more details.
What Learning Support is Available?
All our LogintoLearn staff have already passed
the European Computer Driving Licence so they know what it's like, and how to
help you. In addition all our LogintoLearn
Centres have a range of learning
materials that have been accredited by the ECDL foundation. These are available
to you in the Centres and some packs are available to take home.

LogintoLearn Centres.
